Modular product design of desks and chairs for deformed classroom students
NINEIDEA: Eduba is an adaptive modular furniture system developed by designer Roie Avni. It challenges the static environment of traditional education by introducing a new type of classroom: a classroom that can change, develop and respond to users. Through the clever integration of modularity, lightweight structure, and intuitive mechanisms, Eduba transforms the behavior of sitting and learning into a dynamic experience shaped by students themselves.
The core of Eduba is a combination of a chair and a table, designed to achieve multifunctionality. Each component can be connected, disassembled, flipped, or reconfigured within seconds. The table provides three height levels based on its placement on a geometric base, while the chair moves between high, medium, and low seats through a simple handle mechanism that locks and unlocks the frame. Furniture can be disassembled and rebuilt at any time without the need for any tools, supporting seamless transitions between different learning modes.
