Relying on processes and systems cannot produce good products – Steve Jobs
NINEIDEA: After the company expands, it will become conservative. They believed that as long as they followed the process, they could miraculously continue to succeed, so they began to implement strict process regulations. Soon, employees regarded following procedures and discipline as part of their work itself. IBM has declined in this way, and its employees are the most disciplined in the world, yet they have overlooked the products.
Apple also has this problem. We have many talented people who are good at managing processes, but they overlook the product itself. Experience has taught me that excellent talents are those who truly understand the product. Although these people are difficult to manage, I would rather work with them.
