BLOCKY WI-FI Chimney Concept Router Industrial Design
NINEIDEA: Can you imagine that the design inspiration of a Wi Fi router comes from the factory chimney? This is the unique concept behind the industrial design of the Wi Fi router concept router called Complex “1”. It excavates a treasure trove of design inspiration in seemingly unrelated factory chimneys.
In Je Lee’s clever analogy, the router’s antenna can efficiently spread Wi Fi signals to every corner of the space, just like a chimney spreading smoke around. Of course, this analogy is not based on direct correlation, but rather on the cylindrical appearance of the chimney, which inspired the designer’s creative ideas.Unlike the slender antennas of common routers, the antenna design of Complex “1” resembles Lego bricks, with a square body paired with two asymmetrical cylindrical antennas, which is unique and eye-catching. It also features a bright yellow color that instantly adds a touch of brightness to the space when placed on a desktop or bookshelf.
In addition, this router ingeniously incorporates clock functionality. There is an orange small button on the back, which makes it easy to reset or switch the clock, giving the product more practical value beyond network connection.
